Sponsor a Spay/Neuter

Unable to adopt or foster but still want to help rescued pets? Sponsoring the spay or neuter a Regina Cat Rescue cat or kitten is a great way to make a difference.

As no cat leaves the care of Regina Cat Rescue without being sterilized, sponsoring the spay or neuter of our foster cats or kittens will help get them ready to be adopted by a wonderful fur-ever home.

The full cost of sponsoring a spay or neuter is $200, and your sponsorship will be acknowledged on a cat's website profile.

To sponsor a cat's spay or neuter, you can donate by PayPal, cheque, or e-transfer. All donations are welcome, and donations of $20 or more will receive charitable tax receipts. Find out more

Please note that once the amount required for care of the cat or kitten (spay/neuter, vaccinations, etc.) has been reached, donations in excess of the required amount will be directed towards another deserving rescued cat.

Email us about your legacy donation.

  • Celebrate and remember a loved one or friend by making a special gift in their memory. This is a wonderful and positive way to commemorate their life, and help Regina Cat Rescue improve the lives of abandoned cats and kittens in Regina.

Make your one-time, monthly, or supplies donation, and then email us so we can be sure to notify the family of your donation.

  • Losing a beloved animal companion isn’t easy. For a suggested one-time, monthly, or supplies donation of $25, RCR will add your pet to our memorial page.

Please email us a photo of your pet and a message to be included.

Take a look at our memorial page

  • Making a charitable bequest in your will to Regina Cat Rescue is a wonderful and positive way to leave a legacy that will improve the lives of abandoned cats and kittens on Regina's streets.

Charitable will bequests allow you to make a significant gift that may not always be possible to make during your lifetime. There are many benefits of creating a charitable will bequest, including:

Reduced Taxes for Your Estate — A charitable gift is an effective way to reduce taxes for your estate. RCR will issue an official tax receipt for the full value of the will bequest when it is received. This receipt can then be used to reduce the tax payable on your final return.
Flexible and Revocable — A charitable gift may be made for any amount, no matter how old you are. As well, a will bequest gift is revocable at any time, should your financial situation change.
Help Abandoned Cats and Kittens in Regina — Your charitable bequest will make a lasting difference to abandoned cats and kittens on our streets.
Leave a Lasting Legacy — Your charitable gift will be a lasting legacy for you, your family or anyone you wish to honour.

A will bequest can be as simple as a sentence or two naming Regina Cat Rescue in your will or adding a codicil to your existing will.

There are different kinds of bequests and for each, you must use very specific language to indicate the precise direction of your assets, and to successfully carry out your final wishes. Please see your professional adviser (financial analyst, lawyer, or planned giving officer) to make arrangements for your bequest to Regina Cat Rescue

  • During the fall months, many organizations launch fundraising campaigns in support of the United Way, which raises for money for a number of local charities.

While there are a number of charities supported by the United Way, donors are also given the option to direct their donation to a charity of their choice.

If you would like to support Regina Cat Rescue through the United Way campaign in your workplace, all you need to do is designate your donation to Regina Cat Rescue (legal name: People for Animals of Saskatchewan Inc.) and list our charitable registration number: #8996 2599 0RR 0001.

  • Third-party fundraisers are events coordinated and executed by caring members of the public to benefit RCR. These include home-based, storefront and online sales. These events don’t require the participation of RCR volunteers or resources.

If you’re interested in holding a fundraising event for RCR, please note the following guidelines:

    ● RCR is only able to issue tax receipts for donations of $20 or more that are given directly from a donor to RCR.
    ● RCR is not able to guarantee volunteer support at the event, but please reach out to volunteer@reginacatrescue.com with as much lead time as possible, to explore this option.
    ● The RCR logo is the property of People for Animals of Saskatchewan, Inc. Therefore, the logo may only be used with the expressed permission of RCR. RCR Communications requires final approval of any event material containing the logo.

Third-party fundraisers that dedicate 100% of the proceeds to RCR (or RCR and other charities) will be promoted through social media.
