Background

Say hello to AJ, he along with his sister Winny came into RCR's care in the summer of 2022 when he was 6 months old.Even being a little on the old side to to be socialized, one look at his frostbitten ear was enough to convince the RCR volunteers that trapped him he would be worth the time it would take to socialize him.

It did not take young AJ long to realize that life indoors was way better than life in an old uninsulated shed where he had been born (& lost the tip of his ear to frostbite).  AJ is the leader of the pack among the younger cats in his busy foster home but would benefit from a home that could give him some undivided attention, especially in the beginning. He is a social boy but would rather socialize with the many cats in his foster home than with people. This doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy playing (he is kind of a toy hog) and when food or treats are around, it is no holds barred, he muscles his way in to make sure he gets his fair share.

While he is not a cuddly cat (at least not at the moment) if he were in a home where he didn't have several other young cats his own age to play with we think he would become more of a "people cat" as he is a very social boy. We do need to stress though that it will take effort on your part.  The reward however will be well worth the effort as young Mr. AJ is not only handsome, he also has a great personality.
