Background

Oakley and his 2 littermates  (Sly & Tux) came into RCR care after they sadly lost their owner unexpectedly after a valiant effort to overcome homelessness.  Thankfully, they were taken in and cared for by someone in the owner's circle who is vested in getting the cats good homes.

Oakley came into care neutered and microchipped. He has been health checked by a vet and his vaccinations and deworming status have been updated. Oakley is a bit shy at first but is the perfect cat companion once he warms up! Belly scratches are his absolute favourite but he also loves a soft blanket to knead. Oakley is happy to curl up next to his person on the couch or in bed and proved to be an enthusiastic fan of Love Is Blind, lol!  He is a sweet and friendly guy who love to play with his cat friends. Oakley’s moustachio is winning him lots of fans!

Tux is a lovely and affectionate gal who was already spayed and microchipped upon coming into care. Unfortunately, Tux's owner had passed away and there was no-one able to take her and her siblings so they were placed into RCR foster care. RCR had Tux checked out by a veterinarian and the news was all good! Tux has been vaccinated and de-wormed. No ear mites were present and it is full speed ahead when it comes to finding Tux a loving forever home.

Tux is a lovely young cat who is very affectionate.  She loves pets and likes to follow her humans around.  Tux gives great head butts and has the cutest little meows - she's quite “talkative".  She loves catnip toys, particularly fuzzy mice and she likes to sit on the window seats and watch birds outside.  Tux will need a gradual introduction to other cats.  Even though she previously lived with other cats she still has a hard time with the resident cats in her foster home.  She is easily startled by them and growls and hisses at them when they get close to her.  Tux would do fine as an only cat.  She loves soft things and cat beds and also loves Churu Bites.

Tux's foster mom thinks her slowness to adjust to other cats is most likely a reflection of the amount of change she's experienced in the short time since her owner passed away.  Tux has great potential to make a loving adopter very happy!
