Charlie was just a young kitten when Regina Cat Rescue feral feeders spotted him in the early spring, sheltering in an old truck with a broken windshield near a feeding station. They were concerned for the safety of this friendly little cat, as it was still too cold to leave a young cat out on the street with only minimal shelter, plus Charlie had developed a serious upper respiratory infection. When our volunteer feeder went to pick him up, his eyes were almost crusted shut with goo, but he still came happily bounding out of the windshield of the truck to greet her.

Charlie was put into isolation at a vet clinic while he began to recover from his infection so that he wouldn't infect other cats. His health improved quickly but he was lonely and loved to be around people. We were fortunate to be able to send him to a foster home with no other cats so that he could recover in a home setting with lots of cuddles, without putting other cats at risk. Charlie settled in immediately and quickly took over the place. He is very affectionate and always wants to be hear his foster mom!

Charlie gets along well with the two dogs in his foster home, and is now adapting nicely to a second foster cat in the home. Mostly, he loves people and never tires of pets and cuddles. He always loves to play. He is gentle enough to be good with young children and would make a great family pet.
