 Background

Evelyn is one very lucky little kitty to even be alive. She was spotted by a caring couple in Regina during one of our extreme cold snaps this winter. It didn’t take long to convince this little doll to come into their home when they opened the door for her. Unable to keep her the couple contacted RCR and Evelyn was taken to the vet clinic for a check up. It took several weeks of being indoors for the full effects of the severe frost bit to become evident. Not alone did Evelyn loose her ears, but all the pads on her feet were frost bitten and sloughed off and the last 4 inches of her tail was frost bitten too and fell off.

Even after everything Evelyn has been through, she’s still the sweetest little girl you’ll meet. She loves to be snuggled close to her foster parents and gives face rubs and head butts while purring to show how thankful she is to be safe and warm inside.
Evelyn is being fostered with other cats and enjoys playing with them from time to time, though she's just as happy to sit and watch the action.

Though she loves adults, Evelyn is still a little shy around the children in her foster home and would therefore be better suited to a quiet home. She will need a little time to adjust to a new home, but the person willing to do this will receive cuddles and a warm lap for many years to come.
