Background

When Atticus was only days old, she and her sister were abandoned by their mom when she got scared and ran away from the farm house where Atticus and her sister were born.  Unable to find the mom, and knowing that the kittens couldn’t survive long without their mom, the farmer contacted RCR for help.  Though RCR is not set up to handle emergencies, a volunteer was able to make arrangements for the kittens during their lunch hour break, and Atticus and her sister found themselves with an experienced bottle feeder.

After spending her whole life being handled by people, Atticus is very affectionate and loves to snuggle with her foster mom.  This little girl will rub against people’s legs to get attention when she is feeling ignored.  Games of chase and wrestling with her sister are how Atticus spends her afternoons.  Atticus is being fostered with other cats as well as several dogs, all of whom she gets along with.
