Background

Leia and her family's rescue was not a typical rescue for RCR volunteers. Though it seemed hard to believe, the feline family was living under a deck along with a rooster who had bonded with the kittens. Leaving no animal behind, a foster home was found for the feline family and a sanctuary was found to take the rooster.

Leia adjusted to life indoors very quickly. Basking in the sunbeams from the living room window is where Leia likes to spend her afternoons. When it’s time to play, Leia is happy to wrestle with her brothers while playing games of chase and pounce. A nice quiet lap is where Leia likes to curl up when the games are done.
