Background

Rocky first came to the attention of the RCR feral cat team in the early fall when they noticed a cat with severely damaged ears showing up at a feeding station regularly.  They knew he needed vet care and set out to trap him, but Rocky proved elusive. It took months before he was nabbed and got much needed care for his ears, which were basically two big hematomas.

Based on his behaviour on the street, we anticipated that Rocky was feral and would end up being released to the street once recovered, but one in care he proved to be a tame, friendly cat that loves human attention. He enjoys belly rubs and cuddles, and is very happy to be living the life of a beloved house cat!
