Background
Ashanti came to RCR when she was taken into a local vet clinic to be euthanized after she had become extremely sick and her owners were unable to afford the diagnostic tests to find out what was wrong. The vet that examined Ashanti felt that her condition was treatable and contacted RCR to accept Ashanti as a surrender. After an emergency surgery was done to remove a piece of foam that was causing an obstruction, Ashanti has completely recovered and is ready for adoption.
This doll is a super sweet kitty who loves to be curled up in her foster mom's lap getting lots of pets and cuddles. At night Ashanti can be found snuggled up close purring away to show how happy she is. Ashanti quickly adjusted to the other cats as well as the dog in her foster home and she enjoys playing chasing games with the younger kittens. Any kind of toy that crinkles is a favorite and she will bat a piece of crumpled paper around the room for fun.
