Background

Maddox was a guest at a small backyard community cat colony maintained by one of Regina Cat Rescue’s dedicated volunteers. He was trapped and neutered a year ago, and then released back to the colony as there were no foster homes available. He had become very matted over the winter and needed some relief, so he was taken to be groomed and had the mats shaved. Once the painful mats were gone, it was still too cold at night to put him back outside, so he went to a temporary foster spot, where he quickly demonstrated that he is a very loving cat who wants human company.

Maddox adapted well to his foster home and gets along well with the resident cats, but prefers to be in home with no dogs. He would also be enjoy being an only cat. He is a social and easy-going lap cat who is happy to be making up for lost time with pets and snuggles and whenever he can get them.  His sweet temperament makes him a good fit for a family or someone getting their first pet, but he’d adapt well to almost any type of home (as long as there are no dogs). Maddox requires regular brushing to keep his coat in good shape.
