Background
When a staff member from one of Regina’s libraries was approached by someone holding a kitten, they didn’t expect the kitten the be thrust into their arms and told that the person hated the cat and didn’t want it anymore. Realizing that the person was serious, and fearing that if they didn’t take the kitten that it would be tossed in the streets, the staff member contacted Regina Cat Rescue for help. Thankfully a foster spot was open and little Octavia quickly found herself in a safe place where she was wanted.
Octavia adjusted quickly to the other cats in her foster home and enjoys playing racing games when the other cats have the energy. When the other cats won’t play with her, Octavia is happy to find a toy to drag around and keep her busy. She’s not quite sure what to make of the energetic dog in her foster home but could learn to live with a dog with less energy. When the games are done, and the cool of the evening rolls around, Octavia is happy to spend time snuggling with her foster mom and can be found sleeping beside her come bed time.
