Background
Olive was discovered stray by a kind lady who assumed that she was a young kitten, based on her small size, but she is actually an adult cat who is a bit undersized due to malnutrition and lack of care. She was also suffering from a terrible upper respiratory infection and needed veterinary care, so the lady contacted Regina Cat Rescue for help.
Olive didn't much care for the veterinary treatment she received in the early days of her rescue and her behaviour and attitude reflected this. Once she was healthy and placed into her foster home, she still was a bit shy and took a while to warm up to the humans and the dog, although she did get along well with the other cats from the beginning. Thankfully her foster family was patient with her and now she is a social and affectionate cat who enjoys being with her people and loves to be in the thick of things with the foster family! She has even warmed up to the dog, finally becoming friends. She has also done well with the infant in the home.
Olive has blossomed into a somewhat shy but loving cat who may need a bit of patience from her forever family while she adjusts, but who does very well when given a bit of time to adapt. She has really come out of her shell in her foster home and proven to be a lovely young cat who likes to snuggle with her foster mom at night. She could fit it into many home situations, including those with or without other animals, but would do best with a family without very young children.
