Background

These two handsome boys come from very different backgrounds, but became fast friends in their foster home and are now seeking a home together. Little Mason has already been through a lot in his short life. At only 8 weeks of age he was left orphaned when his mom was found dead in an industrial area. Mason and his siblings where scooped up and brought into RCR foster care. Upon arrival it was evident the kittens were severely malnourished and not long after it was discovered they were suffering from the nearly always fatal panleukopenia virus.

Despite immediate veterinary care and the foster mom's vigilance, Mason’s siblings succumbed to the disease. Poor Mason was severely anemic and lethargic, and it didn't appear that he would pull through. Somehow he beat the odds and gained the strength he needed to survive.  Mason is now healthy, happy and full of life. With his siblings gone, young Mason sought comfort from Zac, a 2 year old long-term foster cat who shares his home.

Zac was rescued as a kitten but because he is shy and doesn’t enjoy human contact, no one has been able to see his amazing qualities. He befriends all the kittens that he’s met and silently watches as they are adopted while he is overlooked. He has a mellow temperament which allows him to get along great with the other cats he meets. He’s incredibly sensitive to the younger fosters and always seems to know when they need a friend. He takes them on like a big brother; protects them and lets them know it’s all going to be okay. Zac has a fun side and loves to play laser chase. His energetic side will have you smiling.

Zac and Mason have formed a close bond. They play together, sleep together and like to hang out side by side and we don't have the heart to split them up. Despite his shyness, Zac will be fine in a new home as long as he has his little cat buddy by his side. If you are looking for a pair of sweet cats to fill your home with love and laughs, consider adopting this duo.
