Background

Shady is a sweet and pretty adult cat who came to RCR in sad circumstances. After spending her life with a loving owner afflicted with multiple sclerosis, Shady is in need of a new home as her owner has to move into an assisted living situation and can't take Shady. Shady's owner is very attached to her and he not only wants her to find a good home, but it’s also his greatest wish that Shady can bring joy to another person who suffers from a similar affliction. 

Shady has many great qualities. She is smart, beautiful, very loving and adaptable. Her special gift is empathy and she is very well adapted to life with a person in a wheelchair. Many cats are frightened by the wheels and motion, but not Shady! It's a well documented fact that cats can boost the health of their owners as they relieve stress and  boost spirits. Shady would make an excellent companion for someone living with mobility challenges or other special needs. While we are happy to adopt Shady into any cat loving family, we would be remiss if we didn't highlight her background and experience as a companion to a person who has special needs.

All adoption fees and sponsorship donations contribute towards veterinary care and other costs associated with caring for Regina Cat Rescue rescued cats and kittens.
