Background
Like many of our rescues this year, Mariah was discovered crying at the door of a home desperate to get inside on a frigid winter night when the wind chills hit fell well below -30 degrees. The kind person let her inside and immediately fell for the lovely cat, but wasn't able to keep her and contacted Regina Cat Rescue for help. When Mariah wasn't claimed, she was placed in foster care and she’s now ready for a home of her own.
Mariah’s a bit shy in new situations, but that's understandable given her time on the streets. She warms up quickly and enjoys pets and cuddles, and even likes playing with toys. Mariah is good with the other cats in her foster home, but would also be fine as an only cat. A quiet and gentle girl, she’s a good match for someone looking for a loving cat companion that is happy to be with people but not overly demanding.
