Background
Barney and his two siblings were surprise rescues when a gentleman showed up at the Regina Cat Rescue booth at a recent trade show, desperate for help with young kittens who had been born to a feral mother cat in his garage. Although we were taken off guard and not set up to accept animals in that setting, volunteers stepped up and the kittens were taken to the safety of a foster home.
Barney’s an adorable and majestic young fellow who’s gaining confidence and coming out of his shell nicely at Excalipurr. He’s a bit shy with strangers to start, but will cuddle up nicely once you have him nestled in your arms. Barney’s good with other cats and has also been exposed to dogs. However, we feel that a cat buddy will give him further confidence. He enjoys playing with toys and is always happy to chow down on soft food.
