Background
Jem and her sister were just tiny kittens found under a deck when rescued and delivered to the care of Regina Cat Rescue. Once they were in the safety of a foster home, it quickly became apparent that the two young kittens were not our every day rescues and that something was seriously wrong. The kittens struggled to overcome a serious illness that was likely caused by the ingestion of a toxic substance, but thankfully they prevailed.
Jem suffered the most serious effects of the illness and gave us a scare, but she bounced back with a combination of tenacity and a diligent foster care provider who provided the best of care, ensuring sweet Jem would have a chance to find a home of her own.
Jem’s truly a little gem of a cat and is loved by people and pets alike. She fits in well at at her multi-pet foster home with a large dog and multiple cats, and has been a diligent big sister to many other wee foster kittens while she recovered from ailments and gained the strength and good health to enable her to find a forever home. Jem is truly a special soul who overcame adversity and deserves to live on easy street forever going forward.
