Background
Cute little Cortland and his family came into the care of Regina Cat Rescue one fall day when someone dropped off a mama cat, Apple, who had recently given birth, at one of our satellite adoption partners. Recognizing the need to get the little family to safety, our partner quickly reached out and the cats were placed into foster care. They soon became known as the Applebox kittens and they are as sweet as the luscious fruit they are named after.
Cortland is charming and fun little guy who loves to play and also loves to give and receive affection. He adapted well to a multi-cat home along with a cat-loving German Shepherd. RCR volunteers are extremely thankful that little Cortland survived exposure to the deadly cat illness Panleukopenia that sadly claimed the lives of two of his siblings. Cortland now has his whole life in front of him and is a healthy and happy young kitten. He has received all the necessary vaccinations and health checks to be put up for adoption and he is an active and playful kitten who is great with other cats and dogs. Cortland is able to join a home with vaccinated cats or dogs.
