Background
It was early spring when Regina Cat Rescue received a request for help from a kind citizen who had been feeding Sidney as a stray cat over the winter. She provided food and shelter for him, but realized he was deserving of a loving home and contacted RCR for help. A Community Cat Team member went to assist, and while Sidney resisted her efforts at first, she was ultimately successful in getting her cat! That's when we learned that Sid's buddy was coming around looking for him, so she went back and nabbed Kirk too.
While we were surprised to see such a close bond between these two male cats, Sidney and Kirk's devotion to each other is obvious. These sweet boys have touched the hearts of volunteers and we could not bear to see them separated. They were placed in foster care together and it's clear they have each other's backs. Both are a bit shy and need time to get to know their humans, but they love to play, and enjoy attention and affection once they feel comfortable.
Sidney is the more confident and outgoing cat, while Kirk is shy in new situations and leans on Sid for support. The two lovely boys are ideal for a cat lover (s) seeking a bonded pair that is low maintenance - they are well behaved, easy-going and appreciative of a safe and loving home. They have double the love to give!
