Background
Dash was living stray in a south Regina neighbourhood last winter and appeared to be feral. However, he was in rough shape when trapped with a hernia, an infected abscess, and severe matting that required him to be shaved down to the skin. We could not release him back to the street after his neuter so he was placed in foster care and while he was very shy at first and hid from his caregivers, he gradually grew comfortable in his surroundings. With time, patience and TLC, Dash came out of his shell and became a fully integrated member of the family and is now ready to find a home of his own.
Dash is a mature and handsome fellow who loves to be pet and brushed. This gentle giant is perfectly content to just chill out in the cat tree in front of a sunny window. the couch and hang with the people and other pets in the home. He does have bursts of energy and will run around playing with cat toys. Dash loves human companionship, a good neck scratch and chatting about his day with an array of coos, chirps and meows. He is tolerant of the other cats but would prefer to be on his own or with just one or two others rather than multiple. He does, however, shine with kittens and has been very nurturing and loving to the young kittens that have passed through the foster home.
