Background

Beary was living outside while a kind person fed him regularly. However, winter was approaching and Beary was captured and went to live indoors with his new foster mom and dad. It took a couple of weeks for Beary to come out of the basement and meet his new caregivers. Shortly after, Beary was neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Within a couple of weeks of returning home, Beary was a totally different kitty and he is ready to find a home of his own!

Beary is a sweet and clever fellow who has learned to play with toys,  comes when he is called, follows his foster mom all around the house, lays on her feet, sits in her lap, sleeps by her side, and loves sharing the couch in the evenings to watch the news. He is not currently a fan of wildlife shows though! He is much more of a Jeopardy kitty, lol.

Beary loves the top of his head scratched, his ears rubbed gently, loves a soft voice, and routinely gives head butts and nose kisses. He purrs lots, loves to rub against shins and is very vocal.

Beary doesn’t like loud noises, but is slowly learning that things like a dishwasher, or other normal household noises don’t mean danger. He is naturally skittish from living outdoors, but with lots of love and care (and some really good food!) he is trusting humans and is becoming an excellent pet.

Beary is a buff tabby, and his fur is thick. He does not shed very much and is fastidious with his cleaning. He has made an excellent transition to using a litter box, eating out of bowls, and finding the back of the couch and watching the birds, rabbits and deer outside his window. He has about 6 toy mice that always end up in the strangest places. Beary is a big, beautiful boy and lots of love to give. Turns out, he is just a big orange softy and is sure to light up the lives of a lucky adoptive family.
