Background
Adorable Mavis came to RCR as a tiny neo-natal in urgent need of help after being attacked by another cat in a rural area, and suffering an abscessed wound before she was old enough to be away from her mama. Thankfully, she was placed into foster care with a neonatal expert and went on to thrive. This little gal is full of spunk and is ready to join a forever family that will ensure she is loved forever and wants for nothing.
Mavis is a very sweet girl who got her name due to her resemblance to Mavis, the little bat from Transylvania. She is a quiet kitten and has what is affectionately known as the silent meow. Mavis opens her mouth and gives it her all but her people don’t hear anything. Mavis loves to suckle on her Sherpa blanket and knead it profusely. Super cute fact - Mavis has a nose that we’ve never seen. It is lined with white to match some of her white neck and belly patches. She is both playful and cuddly. Mavis was the smallest in her litter but she never backed down from another kitten or cat and acts like she’s five times her actual size. Mavis was attacked by a cat when she was only a few weeks old but healed nicely from her injury. This special kitten is a survivor and has the personality to go with it! She is like a little puppy and will come racing when you call her name. When you are gone, you can tell she missed you and needs lots of cuddles!! Mavis gets along well with other cats and would make a wonderful, cuddly and loyal little companion.
