Breed: Domestic Long Hair; Brown Tabby (she will have lovely fluffy hair once it grows back, but she needed to be shaved due to extreme matting. She looks like she is wearing fashion boots until it grows back. The shaved part is still very soft and she is happy to be comfortable)

Temperament: Very friendly and affectionate. Will give head buts and face kisses. Very sweet and loving.

Background
Mary J Blige is a sweet tabby beauty who comes from one of our most heartbreaking situations of the year with multiple cats left homeless after a house fire, and living on the street with few resources. Thankfully, their plight was recognized by a dedicated volunteer who started feeding them and we gradually pulled in the most needy one by one. Mary J landed on that list and is very grateful to be rescued. We were inspired to name her after acclaimed recording artist Mary J Blige, whose hit song Real Love articulates the journey of rescued cats all too well. Mary J was definitely part of a home at one time and she is looking to find real love in a true forever home this time!
Mary J is a gentle and loving cat who has shown incredible gratitude for being safe, warm and loved. She is so content just to receive attention, and will happily accept pets and cuddles as long as you are willing to give them. Mary J is a quiet and well behaved cat who is used to being with other cats but she would also be fine on her own. She had to be shaved to severe matting from her time on the street, but she loves to be brushed as well. This beautiful soul has had a rough go of things but she is a very friendly and loving cat who would make an excellent cat companion for a first time pet owner or a family with kids.
