Temperament: Friendly, super affectionate and gentle. Loves to snuggle and nuzzle your neck and chin. Will follow you around and ask for a cuddle. Loves wand toys.
Other Info: Good with other cats. His hair will grow back after his shave down. Declan has a heart murmur but has been tested to confirm normal cardiac function.

Background
Declan was first spotted in the early spring when a Lakeview citizen started noticing cat food disappearing. Declan was wandering the neighbourhood looking for food and he was spotted on a fence a few doors down where he was mistaken for a squirrel’s nest due to his badly matted coat! With the help of binoculars, the person realized it was actually a fluffy cat and contacted RCR for help. Declan was scooped shortly thereafter and placed in foster care.
Declan was timid at first and had obviously spent a long time on the streets. He had to be completely shaved to get rid of all the mats. Declan gradually gained confidence and began to trust people. Now he can't get enough attention! He loves to be held and petted, and is quite vocal when he wants attention. Declan has discovered how much fun cat toys can be and he's making up for lost time by having a blast playing. He also loves his soft food! This sweet, endearing little guy is more than ready for a loving home of his own.
