Background

Maurice is a huge volunteer favourite after being rescued with both vision and mobility challenges following an animal attack on a farm just outside Regina. We knew the nature of his injuries would leave him vulnerable on a farm and we decided we had to help. Maurice was placed in foster care and quickly proved to be one of the sweetest cats we've met.

Maurice is a loving, gentle and friendly cat who enjoys being with people and other cats. He is basically a very chill fellow who likes to sit around and soak up your attention. He loves to be petted. He has some vision and will follow you around bunting your legs so that you will pet and cuddle him. He gets around well but doesn't run or jump onto furniture. Maurice is happiest when he's being cuddled but he also loves to eat and lounge in his cat bed. To know Maurice is to love him - he is sure to bring his lucky adoptive family much happiness.

Please note: in the event there are multiple inquiries for a cat or kitten, Regina Cat Rescue will select the best suited home in the interest of a successful adoption.

His candy cane tail that twitches when he is happy. It is adorable.

Feeling good and looking good after a big brushing. He loves to be groomed!

I love doing “before and after” shots. To the left is when Maurice first came to us. He was hurt and sad and not feeling his best. His coat was in bad shape and he couldn’t see at all or move well. But he was still sweet and gentle and gave us his trust. Now he can see well enough to bat around his favourite feather toy and has the sleekest coat. You can see the difference love can make.
