Background

Nala is a beautiful and loving tortie who has a hard luck story. Discovered as a stray with kittens, Nala was taken into care back in 2016 and once her kittens were weaned, she struggled to find a home of her own, spending time at two separate satellite locations before we were able to find the right foster home. Shortly afterward, Nala was adopted by a young couple who adored her and called her an amazing gift. Sadly, due to her owner's health issue, Nala has been surrendered back to RCR and is on the hunt for a new home.

Nala is a very sweet and loving cat who instantly became a volunteer favourite. She is smart, playful and loves attention - and catnip! Nala has the most beautiful classic tortie markings and stunning green eyes. This beauty has an equally beautiful soul and so much love to give. Nala is a calm, cuddly gal. She likes to spend most of her time sleeping, ideally curled up on a lap. She also likes sleeping in bed and snuggling with her people overnight.

She's also a curious girl and likes watching what her humans are doing and exploring every last bit of the space she's in.

She looooves pets and will gently touch you with her paw to let you know she'd like to be pet or to ask you to continue if you've stopped. She will give a little purr or chirp to let you know you're hitting the right spot!

She loves her soft food and treats. She's not a cat that is super keen on playing but will play with a feathered wand toy or chase the light from a laser for a bit. She also seemed to enjoy the catnip stick available in her foster home.

She will need slow intro to other cats but is fine with them once she's introduced. Nala is best suited to a quieter home with adults and older children as she gets a bit stressed if things get too loud or busy.

I think she'd be better in a quieter home with adults and older kids as she seems to get stressed out if it's too loud/busy.

We are hoping that Nala finds a true forever home that will give her all the love she deserves.
