Background
It was a beautiful fall day when RCR received word of a very pregnant female cat who had taken up residence in a south Regina resident's back yard, and she was looking for a safe place to give birth. Despite being extremely full from a busy summer, we were able to find a foster home for Licorice and shortly thereafter she gave birth to 8 beautiful kittens. Licorice was an attentive and diligent mama and her kittens are all grown up and finding homes of their own. Now it's her turn to take the spotlight and find her forever home.
Licorice really started to shine and show her personality once her kittens were able to be weaned. She is a smart, curious and outgoing cat who likes to be involved in the activities in her home. Licorice has been exposed to dogs and other cats but was naturally somewhat defensive with 8 babies under her wing. However, she can get along with other pets if given a gradual introduction, per best practices for pet integration. Licorice is a sweet mature cat who is looking for a forever home where she can give and receive all the love in the world.
