Poppy
Adopted February 22nd, 2011
Meet sweet and petite Poppy, an 8-month old female rescued from the middle of a frozen street on Remembrance Day. Poor Poppy was cold and hungry, and she was trying desperately to catch the attention of passersby by raising her little paw, to no avail.
She was rescued by chance when two PFA volunteers happened to drive past and noticed her plight. A quick check with some neighbourhood residents indicated that she'd been outside in the cold for a while, so Poppy was rescued and placed into foster care. She has been spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for ear-mites.
Poppy is a gentle, quiet cat who really enjoys being in a safe, warm place. She loves to snuggle with her foster mom and dad and really likes the one-on-one time with them. But, she is adapting to the other cats in the home as well. She is also learning to play and enjoy cat toys now that all her energy isn't going to survival.
This lovely young cat would make a wonderful pet for anyone seeking a soft, furry friend to cuddle up with at the end of a busy day. For more information on Poppy, please contact Alanna by email.
