Adopted February 25th, 2012

This beautiful young tabby kitten is Shyla, a 7 month old female who is shy but sweet, just like her name. Shyla is part of litter of kittens born to a mama cat who was dumped on a rural property over the summer. The family was happy to feed and care for the little family, but with winter approaching and numerous other animals to care for, they wanted to be sure the kittens had warm indoor homes!

Shyla is now in a multi-pet foster home where she has made friends with the small dog and other cats in the home. She is very sweet and is starting to enjoy her playtime, but she is still shy with people and needs to be approached slowly and with patience. She loves her food and adores getting special cat treats, and can often be petted after eating.

Shyla would do well either alone or with just one other cat so that she doesn’t become the “lost child” of the household - she needs one-one time to let her know how special she is.

Shyla has received her first two vaccinations and has been spayed.
