Background
Chaplin is a rescue from the streets of North Central where he lived at one of our feral colonies, but he is quite happy to enjoy the regular food, water and attention in a RCR foster home.
Chaplin may fuss and play hard to get at first but he quickly melts and loves attention and snuggles, and playing with dangly cat toys. Named after Charlie Chaplin for his cute little moustache, he is a little character who lives up to his namesake.
This special boy needs a very special home as he is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive as a result of his days on the street. Cats with FIV can often live as long as regular cats that don’t have FIV, but they are at higher risks for infections and they require good nutrition, lots of love, and proper veterinary care such as regular check-ups.
Chaplin needs to be an only cat – or to go to a home with another FIV positive cat as FIV is communicable to other cats. However, he can more than fill a home with love and make people laugh with his antics. He just needs a chance with the right family.
