Background
This gorgeous girl managed to arrange her own rescue. A woman had noticed Venus hanging around the neighbourhood and began to ask around for the owners of the cat, unfortunately no one came forward to claim her. While outside after one of our many snow storms, the woman spotted Venus and began to call her, concerned with her being out in the cold. Venus, happy to see a friendly face, walked along a fence and jumped right into the woman's waiting arms! Rescued at last, Venus seemed to be saying.
Now safely indoors, Venus is adjusting to life as a foster. Given her medium length fur, her foster family is slowly brushing out the matts that have occurred due to being outside for too long. Venus is learning to enjoy gentle brushings from her foster parents, but it has to be on her terms.
Venus is a shy girl when she first meets new people but given time and space, she becomes very affectionate once she trusts you. Her foster family enjoys Venus's company, and she will gladly spend time sitting beside her foster parents. After so much time outside though, she will need a family that will love and accept Venus for who she is. With patience and time, Venus will be a wonderful addition to the forever family lucky enough to adopt her.
