Help Regina's abandoned cats this holiday season
December is a busy time of year often full of parties, gifts, family and friends. If you're looking to include some acts of charity in your holiday season, Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) has a number of ways you can help.
Donate an item from our Christmas wish list. Regina's abandoned cats and kittens count on RCR to provide them with the care they need. This includes all kinds of items ranging from outdoor extension cords to plug in heated water bowls to litter and litter boxes. You can help keep RCR cats in comfort (and joy!) by donating items from our wish list today. Please email us to arrange pick up or drop off.
Buy a Christmas raffle ticket. The grand prize is an Apple watch drawn just in time for Christmas. Other prizes include $250, $150 & $100 cash cards. All the details can be found here.
Make a cat's greatest wish come true and give them a forever home. RCR doesn't recommend giving animals as gifts, but if all members of the household are on board and are willing to take on the responsibility, commitment and love that a cat requires, the gift of a forever home is perhaps the greatest you could give. RCR has over a hundred cats in care looking for their forever home this holiday season.
Give the gift of a spay or neuter. No cat or kitten leaves RCR's care unsterilized. This is an important part of controlling Regina's cat population, but the cost of these surgeries is considerable. You can help by gifting a spay or neuter this Christmas. Donate $100 for a full sponsorship or $50 for a partial sponsorship - either way your gift recipient will receive a beautiful card and photo of the sponsored cat. Please email us by Dec. 16 to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
Look forward to the new year by purchasing an RCR 2016 calendar. These beautiful calendars sell for $20 at 10 locations around Regina. Purchase one for yourself or to give as a gift and feel good knowing all funds raised will go toward veterinary care for Regina's most needy cats. Locations and details can be found here.
Last but not least, consider volunteering with RCR. Commit your family to working a fundraising bingo or provide a loving foster home to a cat in need.
RCR volunteers and cats thank you for your support!
