People often ask us about the locations of Regina Cat Rescue’s feral feeding stations. The questions are usually from well-meaning residents who are curious about the secret lives of feral cats. RCR keeps feeding station locations under wraps out of concern for the well-being of the cats and to keep RCR property and volunteers safe. In spite of our best efforts, feeding stations are still subjected to vandalism and theft in our community.

On Saturday, May 23, one of RCR’s feeding stations was destroyed by arson. It’s heartbreaking to see how little value some people place on the property and safety of others. Unfortunately, incidents like this illustrate the ongoing need for RCR to remain secretive about the locations of its colonies.

What can you do to help?

  • Offer to host a colony on your property. RCR provides all of the materials and care for the cats – you provide the land.
  • Advocate for feral cats in our community. Feral cats are cats that were born to abandoned tame cats (pets) and aren’t socialized to humans. With a little help from caring humans, feral cats can live happy, long lives.
  • Donate canned food. Generous sponsorships and partnerships provide RCR with an abundance of dry cat food, and the need for wet food never stops.
  • Donate to our May Means Spay campaign to ensure RCR can sterilize and socialize kittens born to feral cats this spring.
  • Volunteer to foster tame cats who’ve been abandoned on Regina’s streets. RCR provides the food, litter and vet care – you provide the home and love.
