RCR appeals for donations in face of unprecedented number of cats
Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) is appealing for financial support in the face of unprecedented number of cats rescued in 2019.
As of Oct. 2, 2019, RCR has rescued 430 cats and kittens. In comparison:
we rescued 401 cats in 2018
we rescued 403 cats in 2017
We currently have 237 cats in care. Most of which are kittens who’ll need sterilization surgery in the coming weeks.

Funds donated pay for veterinary care, which is RCR’s biggest expense and reached $165,000 in 2018. Without financial support from the public, RCR won’t be able to help cats in pain like Quest.
Quest landed in our care on Friday, Sept. 27 suffering from a badly damaged leg after it was caught in a trap. An incredibly sweet cat who’s otherwise healthy, Quest was facing euthanization. RCR intervened and was able to give him a second chance at life. Now this loving boy is pain free and will soon be available for adoption.
