Good Night, Sweet Cheeks
Last fall, PFA rescued a long-time stray from a feeding station named Cheeks. He was a big, fluffy black guy who was shy but also incredibly sweet and gentle. We were sad when he was positive for FIV but hopeful that he would get a chance to have a home and know love.
It took a long time, but Cheeks was eventually placed into a foster home experienced with FIV positive cats. He already had signs of kidney problems, but we hoped for the best and knew he was in good hands.
Cheeks loved his foster home. He enjoyed good food, afternoon naps and evening TV watching with his foster mom, and was loved by human and feline friends alike.
Sadly, Cheeks took a turn for the worse and had to be put down last week due to kidney failure. He was sweet and loving right until the end. He wasn't with us for a long time, but we are happy that he was able to enjoy love and kindness after a long life on the streets.
He is very much missed by his foster mom and all of his friends. Rest in peace, sweet boy.
