Alexa Needs Help!

This gorgeous girl is Alexa, a beautiful medium-haired dilute calico cat that is 8 years old and has had a hard life.

Alexa is a rescued stray who found her way to a kind and loving couple that took her in, but she was picked on and bullied by the resident cats to the point where she spent most of her time in hiding. 

Alexa is currently in a foster home where she has proven to be a very loving and cuddly lap cat, given  a bit of patience and understanding. She loves to nuzzle and head-butt. She is a bit skittish with the other cats but overall has adjusted very well. 

We would love to find Alexa a home of her own where she can blossom with the love of a forever family and be the apple of her adopter's eye.  But Alexa has several very bad teeth and she needs expensive dental surgery before we can list her for adoption. 

The surgery is out of PFA's reach at this time. With over 130 cats in care and our TNR program at the height of activity, our coffers are empty.  It takes the bulk of our resources to provide the basic sterilization / vaccination and anti-parasitic treatments for our rescues and at peak times, things like dental surgeries are not affordable.
