Background
Naomi may look like an ordinary little black cat, but she is a superhero to Regina Cat Rescue and 8 special babies that she mothered.
Naomi came into the care of RCR in August when we were notified that a stray cat had given birth to 4 kittens in a doghouse in a citizen's back yard. There was a resident dog who was quite out of sorts, and the homeowner needed assistance in relocating the little family.
Naomi settled into her foster home beautifully and proved to be an excellent mama and a very sweet and affectionate kitty herself. She loves attention and would run right over her babies to get to anyone who entered the room for a visit.
After a week-end of severe summer storms, we were contacted about an orphaned litter of 4 babies who desperately needed help to survive. Their best bet was to find a nursing mom to "adopt" them and Naomi was up to the task. All 8 kittens thrived in her care.
Now that her babies are weaned and seeking homes themselves, it is time for our sweet Naomi to shine and find a forever home of her own. She is affectionate, playful and adores attention from people. She will tolerate another cat or a dog but would also do well as an only pet.
