Good Night But Not Goodbye, Sweet Muffin

RCR does the utmost to help each and every cat that comes into our care get the best possible outcome - a loving forever family. That was our hope for Muffin but sadly, not every cat gets that happy ending,

Muffin was in rough shape when rescued. He had a fever and was severely dehydrated and emaciated. Thankfully, a kind family noticed his state, took him in to foster and contacted us for help. They named him Muffin because all the poor soul had to eat at the time was a discarded muffin. It was touch and go but eventually we were able to get him healthy enough to neuter him and were hopeful that he would be posted for adoption.

Unfortunately, his issues were worse than we thought. Muffin went steadily downhill after his neuter and crossed the rainbow bridge June 27th/22 after showing signs of neurological issues. We don’t know his full story and what might have happened to him but we are hoping for answers post-mortem. Muffin was a sweet and loving soul who was loved and cherished for his short time in our care,. We thank his foster family for giving him the TLC he desperately needed.

As always, we rescue so many cats in desperate need. RCR is grateful for supporters and volunteers who make this possible.
