Resident pets are amazing!

Resident dog Sebastian with foster cat Cashew

As anyone with animals will tell you, one is never enough and this is seen in many PFA foster homes which typically have existing pets. With the right introduction, almost any pet, cat or dog, will except another pet into a home and this is seen only too well in the pictures here. Sebastian is a black Lab X who’s mom has fostered over 100 cats with PFA and he is a great ambassador for dogs everywhere. Sebastian is himself a rescue and his gentle nature and love of humans and cats alike prove that dogs and cats can get along. Sebastian is pictured with foster cat Cashew.

Wyatt, the big Orange and White cat is another wonderful example of existing pets welcoming in new ones. Wyatt is an amazing foster brother, taking on an almost mothering role with many of the foster cats to come through his house. Wyatt is affectionately called a "foster failure" as he was once a foster cat that his foster mom just couldn't imagine leaving her home. Now Wyatt calls his once foster home his forever home and he does his best to make the new fosters feel loved and welcome!

These two amazing animals are great examples of how, with the right introductions, any cat (or dog) can be welcomed into a family with existing pets.
