More Cats Rescued From the Cold
With extreme cold and tons of snow, this winter has been very hard on the poor cats left to fend for themselves out in the cold.
We've been busy with lots of rescues and have added a few more beautiful and sweet cats into care as space allows.
Pretty little Pekoe is a young female cat who was found stray in the cold shortly before Christmas. A kind, animal loving family rescued her and offered to foster her until she can find a permanent home. Pekoe is very friendly and loving, and quite brave. She is good with other animals and has even befriended the resident Husky!
Thomas is a quiet, well-behaved little guy who lived as a stray for months up in a Northeast Regina neighbourhood, with a PFA volunteer providing food and outdoor shelter. When Thomas started showing up for his food with scratch wounds, the volunteer became concerned for his safety and asked us for help. Thomas is really enjoying being safe and loved in a foster home, and his great with kids. He would make a great family pet.
Lily first turned up at a kind family's home just outside Regina in October, begging at the door for food each night. The family was concerned for her safety and contacted us for help, but Lily would run away. When the first big snowfall hit, she disappeared for a while and they feared the worst. Luckily, she showed up again and they were able to lure her into their heated garage, and worked with her until a foster spot became open. Lily has really come out of her shell and is a very friendly and playful cat who is very social and good with other cats.
All of these cats have been sterilized and will be listed for adoption shortly.
We do have a wait list of tame cats that are still living outside until a foster care spot becomes available. If you are interested in fostering a rescued cat, please contact us at pfasask@gmail.com.
