The Board of Directors plays a crucial role in guiding RCR’s mission and ensuring its sustainability. They provide strategic leadership, oversee financial management, and set policies that align with RCR's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Preside at all meetings of the Corporation and of the Board of Directors

  • Have the general and active management of the affairs of the Corporation

  • Create and submit a Presidential Report to the membership at the Annual General Meeting

  • Represent Regina Cat Rescue to the community

  • Work with the community and governmental organizations to further organizational objectives

  • In consultation with the Board of Directors, determine the goals and strategies of the corporations in a given year

  • Be responsible for ensuring yearly statistics are generated for the corporation, which are provided by each committee and overseeing the work of each committee to ensure it is in accordance with corporation goals and objectives. 

  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Board of Directors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Age requirement of 18+

  • Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of Google software and apps

  • Commitment to RCR’s mission and a love of animals

  • Access to phone/computer/internet/email is a requirement, as you will be provided an RCR email address, which is the primary method of communication

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, while being able to work independently

The President shall agree to a minimum of a 2-year term, of which they agree to the following responsibilities during said term.
