Transportation Support
As a volunteer Transportation Support you will play an integral role in Regina Cat Rescues operations.
You will assist in the transportation of cats and/or supplies to and from various locations such as veterinarian appointments or foster homes. As a remote-based organization, please note RCR does not have an office space/facility.
Responsibilities
Picking up and dropping off supplies to volunteers within RCR such as foster homes, community cat teams, etc.
Picking up and dropping off cats to their veterinarian appointments, and transporting them back to their foster home after their appointment has ended
Keeping a detailed record of your day to day activities, so the appropriate leads and/or RCR volunteers are able to ensure their records are kept up to date and accurate
Provide up to date information regarding your availability to RCR team
Other responsibilities as directed by Board of Directors
Time Commitments
1 – 3 hours per week
Please note these times are not consecutive, as it entails pick up and drop off and could require a few requests during your stated availability. Please note while we do our best to accurately reflect the time commitment required to ensure interested individuals are aware, it may fluctuate depending on the time of year and seasons. RCR does not expect volunteers to be available with every request, as it is shared amongst a group of individuals in hopes one of the individuals has availability to meet RCRs needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Age requirement is 16+ provided you have a valid license and reliable transportation
Ability to safely lift up to 20lbs
Commitment to RCR’s mission and a love of animals
Ability to work well alone or as a team player
Access to reliable internet coverage and phone or computer with access to email, as this is the primary means of communication
High level of reliability, responsibility, and trustworthiness
