Volunteer Relations Lead
As a volunteer, the Volunteer Relations Lead plays an integral role to assist and support any incoming and current volunteers in Regina Cat Rescues operations.
You will work collaboratively with other volunteers to identify roles which require volunteers and which roles are filled, and ensure to notify appropriate person(s) so RCR’s website and social media is reflective of our volunteer needs. You will work to assess applicants, assist in onboarding approved applicants, and share their information with the appropriate persons. As a remote-based organization, you will be working from home mostly, aside from the occasional time when you meet individuals in person.
Responsibilities
Receive, review, and assess incoming volunteer applicants, responding to volunteer applicants with further information to ensure they are still interested. Please note a follow up text and/or phone call may be required as email is not always a reliable way to communicate with interested individuals. Follow up via these means ensures the information is received by the individual.
Complete onboarding protocol with new volunteers as laid out in RCR onboarding procedures, ensuring the appropriate leads and admin have been notified
Assist with recruiting efforts through collaborating with other RCR leads, ensuring roles RCR is actively recruiting for and/or filled roles are accurately depicted as such, and roles and responsibilities are clearly explained to interested applicants
Ensure accepted applicants have their information entered into RCR internal database
Receive, review, and respond to relevant emails from RCR volunteers and the public in a timely manner
Assess volunteer satisfaction and ensure volunteers feel appreciated as valued members of the RCR team
Commit to monthly meetings with the Operations Manager and other RCR volunteers, where you will provide an oral/written report
Other responsibilities as directed by Board of Directors
Time Commitments
2 - 4 hours per week.
Please note while we do our best to accurately reflect time commitment required to ensure interested individuals are aware, it may fluctuate depending on the time of year and seasons

Commitment to RCR’s mission and a love of animals
Age requirement of 18+ is a must, valid license and transportation is an asset
